AMERICAN DRILLING

Business & SMS Program Disclosure

Condex Inc. (dba American Drilling) · Last updated: July 29, 2026
This page is public and requires no login. It describes who we are, what our text-message program does, exactly how employees opt in (including the word-for-word script our office staff read aloud), and the exact messages we send. The rest of this site is our internal field-reporting application; it is protected by a crew PIN because it contains employee names, hours, and job-site records. No consumer or member of the public is ever messaged by this program.

2. What this website is

This domain hosts American Drilling Daily, the internal app our field crews use to file a daily field report at the end of each shift — crew and hours, equipment used, production quantities, delivery notes, and job-site photos. Companion apps at shop.amdrill.app (equipment and maintenance) and office.amdrill.app (office scheduling) serve the same internal purpose.

These apps are used only by American Drilling employees. Nothing is sold here, there is no consumer sign-up, no marketing list, and no public account creation. The application itself sits behind a crew PIN because it displays employee names, hours worked, and customer job-site records. All business and SMS-program disclosures live on this public page, and on our public SMS Terms and Privacy Policy pages, so they can be reviewed without any credential.

3. What the text-message program does

Program name: American Drilling Field Notifications. It sends operational text messages to American Drilling employees who have opted in. There are three message types and no others:

We send no marketing, promotional, political, charitable, lead-generation, affiliate, or third-party content. We do not message customers, prospects, or the general public.

The exact messages we send

American Drilling: reminder - the daily report for job [Job Name] has not been submitted yet. Please submit it in the daily app. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.
American Drilling: daily report received for job [Job Name] - thank you. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.
American Drilling: equipment alert - unit [Unit ID] reported DOWN. View the alert: https://shop.amdrill.app/alert.html?eq=[Unit ID] Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.

Links in our messages point only to our own domains (shop.amdrill.app / daily.amdrill.app). We never use public URL shorteners.

4. How employees opt in

Consent is collected after hiring is complete, is entirely voluntary, and is never a condition of employment, hiring, pay, scheduling, or any company benefit or service. Declining changes nothing. There are exactly two ways to opt in, and both capture the same disclosures.

Method 1 — Written (signed paper form)

The office offers a separate, standalone sign-up sheet titled “American Drilling Employee Text Alerts — Optional Sign-Up.” It is not part of any employment paperwork and is never stapled to or presented with hiring documents. A blank copy is publicly viewable at shop.amdrill.app/sms-optin-form.pdf. The form states the message types, “Message frequency varies (typically 1–5 messages per work day),” “Message and data rates may apply,” STOP and HELP instructions, our phone number, and links to the Terms and Privacy Policy. It offers a YES — I agree and a NO — I decline checkbox. Only a checked YES, accompanied by the employee’s own mobile number, signature, and date, enrolls that number. The signed form is filed in the employee’s personnel file as the consent record.

Method 2 — Verbal (spoken, in person or by phone)

An employee may instead ask office staff to enroll them. Office staff read the script below aloud, word for word, and may only enroll the number after the employee says yes. The script, the employee’s answer, the number read back, the date and time, and the staff member’s name are all written into the consent log described in section 6.

5. Verbal consent script — read word for word

This is the exact script American Drilling office staff read. Staff are instructed to read it as written, without paraphrasing or shortening it, and to stop immediately if the employee declines.

Step 1 — Read aloud, exactly as written

“Hi [employee name], this is [staff first name] with American Drilling in the San Jose office. I’d like to offer you our optional employee text alert program. This is completely voluntary — it is not required for your job, your pay, your schedule, or anything else here, and if you say no, nothing changes for you at all.

If you say yes, American Drilling will send operational text messages to your mobile phone. There are three kinds: a reminder when your daily field report hasn’t been submitted yet, a confirmation when your report is received, and an alert when a piece of equipment is reported down. That’s all we send — no advertising, no marketing, and we never give your number to anyone else.

Message frequency varies, and it’s usually about one to five messages on a work day. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your carrier and your plan. You can reply STOP to any message at any time to cancel, and you’ll get one confirmation that you’ve been unsubscribed. You can reply HELP for help, or call our office at (408) 795-1700. The full terms and privacy policy are at shop.amdrill.app/sms-terms.html and shop.amdrill.app/sms-privacy.html, and I can hand you a printed copy if you’d like one.

Do you agree to receive these text messages from American Drilling at your mobile number? Please answer yes or no.”

Step 2 — If the employee says NO

“No problem at all — I won’t sign you up, and nothing changes. If you ever want to join later, just let the office know. Thanks [employee name].”

Staff action: log the decline. Do not enter the number. Do not ask again unless the employee brings it up.

Step 3 — If the employee says YES

“Great, thank you. Let me read the number back to make sure I have it right: [read the 10-digit mobile number back, one digit at a time]. Is that correct, and is that a mobile phone you can receive texts on?”

Staff action: only after the employee confirms both the number and that it is a mobile line, enter it in the system and record the consent in the log below. If the employee corrects the number, read the corrected number back again before entering it.

Step 4 — Close

“You’re all set. You’ll start getting those alerts, and remember you can reply STOP any time to cancel. Thanks [employee name].”

6. Consent record

Every verbal consent is written into the employee’s file the same day, recording:

Written consents are recorded by filing the signed paper form in the same personnel file. Both records are retained for as long as the number remains enrolled, and for at least four years afterward.

7. Opting out and getting help

Reply STOP to any message to cancel at any time. Our auto-reply is:

You have successfully been unsubscribed. You will not receive any more messages from this number. Reply START to resubscribe.

We also honor OPTOUT, CANCEL, END, QUIT, UNSUBSCRIBE, REVOKE, and STOPALL. Reply HELP or INFO for assistance; our auto-reply is:

Reply STOP to unsubscribe. Msg&Data Rates May Apply.

An employee may also opt out by telling any office staff member, emailing colt@amdrill.com, or calling (408) 795-1700.

8. Privacy

Mobile numbers and consent records are used solely to operate this internal notification program. No mobile information is sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes, and consent is never shared for any purpose. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
